Innovation in Anesthesiology and Pain Management

The overall objective of the group is to contribute to the development of safer, more personalized, and evidence-based Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, generating knowledge that can be directly translated into clinical practice. The integration of pain research, perioperative medicine, therapeutic innovation, and simulation enables a comprehensive approach to patient care, encompassing preparation and anesthetic management, pain control, postoperative recovery, and complication prevention.

The Innovation in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine research group conducts clinical and translational research aimed at improving patient safety, treatment effectiveness, and quality of care in the fields of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management.

Its activities integrate clinical research with healthcare practice and education, with a particular focus on incorporating new diagnostic, therapeutic, and patient safety strategies.

The group carries out its activities primarily at the Hospital Universitari Arnau de Vilanova, in collaboration with the University of Lleida and other healthcare institutions and research groups.
