The strategic lines of research currently being pursued by the group are as follows:

1. Identification and validation of markers with clinical prognostic capacity in major diseases.
2. Identification of pathological molecular mechanisms in intercellular communication mediated by extracellular vesicles.
3. Metaproteomics of human microbiomes and their relationship with pathological processes.
4. Use and editing of nanoparticles for the administration of bioactive compounds and drugs.
5. Study of the metabolome and its role in pathological processes.
6. Identification of new bioactive compounds of natural origin and characterization of their functionality.
