A group of volunteers from the Spanish Association against Cancer of Lleida visit the IRBLleida
The objective of these visits is to make known to everyone what is done in the IRBLleida and bring them closer to biomedical research
A dozen volunteers of the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC) of Lleida visited today, March 6th, the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida (IRBLleida). The AECC is a non-profit organization formed by cancer patients, family members, volunteers, collaborators and professionals who work together to educate in health, support and accompany sick people and their families, and finance research projects that will allow a better diagnosis and cancer treatment. That is why the IRBLleida opens its doors so that these volunteers can see firsthand how the researchers of our Institute work.
The professor of the University of Lleida and principal investigator of the Oncology Pathology group, Rosa M. Martí, has welcomed the group of visitors to IRBLleida. Afterwards, the volunteers visited the laboratory of the aforementioned research group where the researcher Anna Macià explained the projects that are carried out.
