4th INspiracy Lleida Conference to promote scientific vocations among high school students in Lleida

Organised by the IRBLleida, the Institute of Education Sciences of the UdL, the BCNspiracy team and the science popularisation association 'Hablando de Ciencia'

For the fourth consecutive year, the Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Lleida (IRBLleida) presents INspiracy Lleida, a day dedicated to disseminating local research and stimulating interest in research among first-year secondary school students in the Lleida area. This event, which will be held on Thursday 3 April at the Auditorium of the Centre for Cultures and Cross-Border Cooperation (Campus de Cappont of the University of Lleida), will be available both in person and online through the YouTube channel BCNspiracy.

Nearly 300 students from high schools in the area have already registered for the event, which has the collaboration of the Institute of Education Sciences of the University of Lleida and is coordinated by the BCNspiracy team and the science outreach association 'Hablando de Ciencia', which has been organising this event in Barcelona since 2018 to promote a passion for science among high school students. In addition, the funding of this event is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) - Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

INspiracy Lleida continues its commitment to innovative and diverse scientific dissemination. In this fourth edition, the event will focus on the Lleida-born Martina Castells y Ballespí, the first doctor of medicine in Catalonia and Spain, and will continue to promote diverse and inclusive biographies of science, as in previous editions.

The day will begin at 9:30 am with a welcome from the vice-rector of Knowledge Transfer of the UdL, Olga Martín Belloso and the director of the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida, Diego Arango del Corro. This will be followed by informative lectures in the field of research:
