First meeting between INEFC Lleida and IRBLleida research staff to find research synergies

Within the framework of the conference 'Biomedical research over coffee: building new collaborations' promoted this year by the Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Lleida (IRBLleida), the first meeting between research staff of the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC Lleida), leader in research on physical activity and sport with a direct impact on health and well-being, and the IRBLleida took place on 7 March.

Around thirty people attended the conference, which provided an opportunity to learn about projects promoted by the two research centres, such as the European model of physical exercise prescription, the OncoAthletes project and the markers of cardiac damage resulting from physical exercise.

IRBLleida has promoted this initiative to contribute to a healthier future through collaboration and the exchange of ideas, and more meetings will be held soon with other centres in Lleida.
