22 researchers from IRBLleida, in the CSIC ranking

A total of 22 female researchers from the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida) are in the ránking published by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) with the most outstanding women doing research in Spain. As for the University of Lleida (UdL), 68 women researchers are included in the ránking. The list maintains the labour professor of the Escuela Politècnica Superior (EPS), Luisa F. Cabeza Fabra, as the best placed, in 25th place in Spain, followed by the professor of Food Technology of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agroalimentaria y Forestal y de Veterinaria (ETSEAFiV), Olga Martín Belloso, in 30th place.

This ranking is based on the H index, which measures scientific productivity and the impact of articles. The 2025 list includes all those women with an h-index greater than or equal to 14. By UdL centres, the ones with the most representatives are the Faculty of Medicine (16), the ETSEAFiV (13) and the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work - FEPTS (11). They are followed by the EPS (10), the Faculty of Law, Economics and Tourism (7), the Faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy - FIF (5), INEFC-Lleida (4) and the Faculty of Arts (2).

The fourth edition of this CSIC list - released to coincide with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science - includes 11,015 female researchers. It continues to be headed by Vasiliki A. Mitsou, from the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (IFIC-CSIC) of the University of Valencia, with an H index of 259 and 315,899 citations.
