World Cancer Day in IRBLleida

Once again this year, the IRBLleida Cancer Department organised an informative event to mark World Cancer Day on 4 February. The event was open to Lleida's organisations involved in this disease, and the IRBLleida Patients' Commission and the JoViBo initiative were presented. In relation to the latter, the Cancer Area publicly announced how the financial donation made in the area will be invested: 2 grants for attendance at national/international congresses so that research staff in training can present their research. The grants have been named 'Jordi Vilaginés Boix Training Grants'.

In addition, the participants in the event were divided into groups and visited 2 of the 5 participating laboratories (Cell Cycle, Oncological Pathology, Cell Signalling by Calcium, GReBiC and Molecular Oncology).
