Volunteers sought for memory research in mental health

People must not have been diagnosed with any mental illness and different tests will be carried out

A mental health research project of the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida (IRBLleida), funded by the 3Cat La Marató Foundation, is looking for volunteers without a diagnosis of mental illness to carry out memory tests and a blood test. Those interested must be between 18 and 65 years old and can write to estudimemoriamarato(ELIMINAR)@gmail.com.

This project 'Deciphering the clinical, neurobiological and genetic correlates of the first episodes of mania in bipolar disorder: NOTION project' is led by the Augusto Pi y Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute Consortium - IDIBAPS Hospital Clínic i Provincial de Barcelona and has the collaboration of the Vall de Hebron University Hospital Foundation - Research Institute (VHIR), the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences - University of Barcelona and, on behalf of IRBLleida, the researcher in charge of the Biological Foundations of Mental Disorders group, Maria Mur Laín, who is also a professional in the Psychiatry Service of the University Hospital of Santa Maria de Lleida and the University of Lleida. The aim of the research is to study initial episodes of patients with bipolar disorder.

The project will improve the quality of life of people suffering from bipolar disorder and reduce the impact at family, social and health level. To carry it out, we are not only looking for patients with this disorder, but also for patients with bipolar disorder.
