New success of Mamapop in Lleida on its 10th birthday

Full house for the 3 pre-Christmas sessions and with a good sales rhythm for the session that will take place after the festive season

The show Generación Movida, with which Mamapop celebrates its tenth birthday, has repeated the good response of every year, counting on the complicity and support of the spectators from Lleida, to which new and different audiences are added and become loyal with each call. This is because the Mamapop community is becoming larger and more diverse and has been able, this year, to fill more than ever the first three stalls and have to propose another one for next January.

The stage of the Llotja hosted up to 50 artists, musicians and soloists who, preceded by a small and nostalgic theatrical piece, gave the most fascinating and festive musical exhibition, continuously raising people from their seats. The repertoire of covers covered the great songs that everyone remembers: A quién le importa, La flaca, Devuélveme a mi chica, El bulevard de los sueños rotos, No controles, Embrujada, Cadillac solitario, Barco a Venus i tantes altres cançons dels millors ambaixadors de l'època: Mecano, Alaska y Dinarama, Loquillo y los Trogloditas, Los Secretos, Duncan Dhu, Sau, Sopa de Cabra, La Guardia or Luz Casal, among others.

Mamapop has been pursuing the dream that, one day, no more women will have to die of breast cancer and working for its raison d'être: to obtain the maximum amount of donations to finance medical research into this disease, offering the net profit from the concert to the research projects.

Paula Costes, Nerea Garcia, Laura Roure, Maria Fernández, Xènia Pérez, Anna Simon Massot, David Honrubia, Pol Simon, Toni Gilabert and Noemis Lenam are the 10 voices that, accompanied by the Jove Orquestra de Ponent and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Conservatori El Intérprete, conducted by Alfons Pérez and Miquel Massana under the musical direction of Josep Maria Bossa, are the soul of Mamapop Generació Movida. All of them will once again make possible a fourth session of the show on Saturday 18 January 2025 at 8.00 pm. Tickets are available at www.mamapop.cat, from Inlingua and the Interpreter, a solidarity experience that is positioning itself as one of the gifts for this Christmas.
