Three international mobility grants awarded to professionals from the Arnau de Vilanova and Santa Maria hospitals

This is the first edition of the AMI CLINIC 24 grants, awarded by the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRBLleida) in collaboration with the Territorial Directorate for Innovation, Research and Teaching

In a bid to promote learning and improvement in research by clinical and healthcare staff in Lleida, the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida (IRBLleida), in collaboration with the Territorial Directorate of Innovation, Research and Teaching of the ICS and GSS, have launched the first edition of the aid for international mobility (AMI CLINIC-24) aimed at healthcare staff of the University Hospital Arnau de Vilanova (HUAV) and the University Hospital of Santa Maria (HUSM).

The aim of this grant is to finance 3 stays of clinical-healthcare staff of the HUAV and the HUSM for learning or improving techniques, technologies or procedures in research, development and technological innovation.

Once the deadline for the evaluation of applications has ended, the three professionals receiving grants are Gerard Piñol, neurologist in charge of the Cognitive Disorders Unit, with a stay at Concordia University (Canada); Jèssica González, specialist physician of the Pneumology Service, with a stay at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Columbia University Irving Medical Center (New York), and Anna Carnes, neuropsychologist of the Cognitive Disorders Unit, with a stay at NYU Grossman School of Medicine (New York).
