IRBLleida announces an intramural innovation grant with the support of the Lleida Provincial Council
To implement new ideas that can potentially lead to the effective transfer of knowledge generated in the health and business sectors.
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Lleida (IRBLleida) has launched the call for staff of the Institute 'Seed Innovation Projects (ISP2024) in Biomedicine' with the aim of providing financial support to implement new ideas that can potentially lead to the effective transfer of the knowledge generated to the health and business sectors.
This call, together with a series of training courses, advice on innovation projects, subscription to networking sites and the application for intellectual property protection, forms part of the work plan of the IRBLleida Innovation department, which is made possible in part thanks to the support of the Lleida Provincial Council. Specifically, the Diputació de Lleida has offered a grant of more than €50,000 in Innovation to IRBLleida.
Thanks to the development of the Innovation Plan, IRBLleida has increased the interest of research staff in participating in innovation projects and protecting their intellectual property, enabling the results derived from IRBLleida's research to have a real impact.
Specifically, the call 'Seed Innovation Projects (ISP2024) in Biomedicine' determines the need to present a proposal that introduces new concepts in the field of biomedicine, exploring unexplored territories and addressing hitherto unassessed health problems that can improve clinical practices and public health. New medical technologies and devices, innovative pharmaceutical solutions, leading applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare, advances in health information and communication technologies and nutrition-related health innovations can be presented. In this 2024 edition, the winning proposal will explore innovative therapies for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).
Through this continued collaboration with the IRBLleida, the Diputació de Lleida shows its support for the advancement of science and technology.
It has also provided training and consultancy for innovation projects
