Thirteen IRBLleida female researchers among the best in Spain according to the Spanish National Research Council

Thirteen female researchers from the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida (IRBLleida) are among the most prominent scientists working in Spain, according to the third edition of the ranking published by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Many of them combine their research activity with teaching at the University of Lleida. The thirteen recognized researchers are:
- Montserrat Rué and Ester Vilapriño: head and principal investigator at the Systems Biology and Statistical Methods for Biomedical Research Group.
- Loreta Medina and Ester Desfilis: heads of the Evolutionary Developmental Neurobiology Group.
- Mariona Jové: principal investigator at the Metabolic Physiopathology Group.
- Aida Serra: head of the +Pec Proteomics Group.
- Judit Herreros: head of the Calcium Cellular Signalling Group.
- Núria Eritja: principal investigator at the Oncological Pathology Group.
- Anabel Sorolla: principal investigator at the Research Group of Cancer Biomarkers.
- Montserrat Gea and Erica Briones: head and principal investigator at the Research Group of Health Care.
- Milica Bozic: principal investigator at the Vascular and Renal Translational Research Group.
- Ana Garcerá: principal investigator at the Neuronal Signalling Unit.
The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) includes 9,765 female scientists in this edition of the ranking. All of them develop their research activity in Spanish organizations, and stand out for having an H index equal to or greater than 18 points according to the indicators in the personal and public Google Scholar profiles, the search engine specialized in scientific content and bibliography.
