‘Little heroes, great scientists', IRBLleida workshop in the hospital classroom of the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital in Lleida
Scientific dissemination activities have been carried out for children admitted to the hospital centre
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Lleida (IRBLleida) has organised for the first time a workshop to inform children admitted to the hospital classroom of the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital of Lleida (HUAV) about science and research. Little heroes and heroines, great scientists' is the name of the workshop that has taken place in the framework of the World Hospitalised Children's Day, which is commemorated annually on 13 May.
In the workshop, the children had the opportunity to learn how to work in a laboratory, how brain cells are built, why leaves are green and to see different samples under a microscope.
The funding of this activity is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) - Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
