A MAMAPOP of MUSICALES for Christmas

After the post-pandemic success of the year 2022 with Mamapop Latino, Mamapop returns stronger than ever. Mamapop will try to surpass itself by taking on a new challenge: The best songs of the International Musicals. The most emblematic themes of the Musicales music will star in the eighth edition of the solidarity concert against breast cancer Mamapop 2023, which this year will feature 9 singers.

The recital will stage about 45 musicians between mamaBanda base (pop-rock) and a symphony orchestra, this year will feature the collaboration of the Symphony Orchestra JOP, Youth Orchestra of Ponent where the best instrumentalists will join the end of grade l'Escola de Música El Intérprete. An unprecedented formation for a unique show.

This year Mamapop will offer 4 sessions very close to CHRISTMAS:

• Saturday 23 December, at 18.00h in the evening
• Saturday, December 23rd, at 10pm (slutty session)
• Sunday December 24 at 11.00h, (innovating in a "new morning session")
• Sunday, December 24 at 5:00 pm

As always, true to its objective, the benefits of the concert will go directly to the IRBLleida for breast cancer research led by Dr. Serafin Morales.

The promoter and artistic director of Mamapop, Manel Simon, explained that this year will be an unprecedented edition and a new musical challenge: "Mamapop's loyal audience has very high expectations. We want to surprise and that is why we face a great challenge with this unprecedented and multi-style production. We will try to meet our goal: Maximum quality, Emotion and Surprise".

This was explained at the press conference to present the concert, which was also attended by: Digna De Torres, president of Adima (Association of Women Intervened by Breast Cancer); Diego Arango, director of IRBLleida; Alfons Pérez, technical director of Mamapop; Josep Maria Bossa, musical director of Mamapop; Anna Miranda, councilor of the City Council of Lleida; Agustí Jiménez, first vice president of the Diputació de Lleida.
