IRBLleida Faculty and Admin Retreat, an opportunity to boost research

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Lleida (IRBLleida) has held its annual meeting to update the advances achieved and vindicate the talent of its researchers. On 9 and 10 June, the Balneario de Rocallaura hosted the Institute's staff to promote innovation, internationalisation and translational research, among others.
The day began with the inauguration of the director of IRBLleida, Diego Arango. This was followed by a presentation on the management of the IRBLleida by the deputy director, Joan Sayós, the manager, Eva López, and the coordinator of scientific and technical services, Maria Ruiz. Later, Biocat CEO, Robert Fabregat explained Biocat's strategic lines and the possibilities for collaboration between institutions.
In the afternoon of the first day, the management and scientific-technical services group had an introductory session on agile and the Flow model, while the scientific staff attended various presentations of projects led by IRBLleida researchers. On this occasion, presentations were given by the Cancer Biomarkers Research Group (GReBiC) from the Cancer area, the Metabolic Physiopathology group from the Nutrition, Metabolism and Cellular Stress area, and the Vascular and Renal Translational Research Group from the Chronic Diseases, Surgery and Cures in Health area.
The second day was followed by scientific presentations by the +Pec Proteomics research groups from the Neurosciences area and ERLab, research in emergencies and emergencies, from the Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases and Public Health area.
