Donation of €300 for research into borderline personality disorder
Thanks to sports consultant Xavi Thai
Sports consultant Xavi Thai has made a donation of 300 euros to the Institute for Research in Biomedicine for research into borderline personality disorder.
The research is led by Josep Pifarré, head of the IRBLleida research group, Biological foundations of mental disorders, and aims to improve strategies for coping with borderline situations through the use of an innovative methodology such as adventure activities.
Borderline personality disorder is a severe disorder, with a tendency to chronicity, and is characterised by emotional instability, as well as behavioural disorders and interpersonal relationships. All these facts lead to disturbances in many areas of life (educational, occupational, affective and family).
