Mamapop returns on the last weekend of November at the Llotja de Lleida

This year, Latin music will be the focus of the concert

On 26 and 27 November, a new edition of the Mamapop benefit concert will return. This seventh edition will focus on Latin music. The 2022 edition will bring together an orchestra of 45 musicians from different origins with the voices of Irene Olivé, Paula Costes, Laura Roure, Lidia Alberich, David Honrubia and a surprise singer, as well as the collaboration of María Fernández. The musicians will perform songs by Gloria Estefan, Luis Miguel, Coti and David Biscal, among others. The musical direction of the show will be in charge of Josep Maria Bossa.

One of the novelties of this 2022 is the change of location of the concert, which will take place at the Llotja de Lleida. There will be a total of three performances: on Saturday 26 November at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and on Sunday 27 November at 7 p.m. Tickets can already be purchased through the website www.mamapop.cat. A total of 950 tickets will be on sale for each session, making a total of 2,850 tickets available.

Today, 1 September, the Parador de Lleida hosted the presentation of the new edition of Mamapop, which was attended by its promoter and artistic director, Manel Simon y Barbero; the Councillor for Municipal Resources, Finance and Health, Maria Montserrat Pifarré y Torres; the first vice-president of the Diputació de Lleida, Jordi Latorre Sotus; the manager of IRBLleida, Eva López Truco; the president of Adima (Association of Women who have undergone breast cancer treatment), Digna de Torres, and the musical director of Mamapop, Josep Maria Bossa.

The manager of the IRBLleida highlighted the importance of this event to raise funds for research and the work carried out by the researcher Serafín Morales, who is leading the research of the Mamapop project. The proceeds from the show and the "fila 0" will go to the scientific research of the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida) in breast cancer, in a project led by the researcher of the GREBIC group, Serafín Morales.
