Converteix-te en un/a científic/a lleidatà/na' (Become a Lleida scientist), the first scientific workshop of the Fundació Verge Blanca and IRBLleida

'Converteix-te en un/a científic/a lleidatà/na' is the name of the first scientific workshop organised by the Fundació Verge Blanca and the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida). Some thirty young people aged 12 to 16 at risk of social exclusion from the Lleida area are taking part in this workshop from 4 to 15 July. The proposal aims to promote scientific vocation in a playful way and fill the lack of this type of scientific initiatives in Lleida.

The Fundació Verge Blanca, a non-profit organisation that has been working in the Ponent for more than 50 years in the field of leisure education, has organised this workshop that includes activities such as a scientific escape room, experiments, scientific board games and visits to the CREBA centre and the IRBLleida, among others. The third sector organisation has selected the participants according to social reports from referring agents, such as other third sector organisations and Lleida City Council.

The young people will carry out the activity from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and lunch is included. It is a proposal for active intervention, in which the participation of the children is encouraged in all the activities in order to develop their learning.
