From the end of April until June, the students of 4th ESO of the Guindàvols Institute have carried out the project 'CiènciArt Ponent: ciència i art per a futurs i futures recercaires', a multidisciplinary educational project designed to combine the practical application of the scientific method with artistic creativity, coordinated by the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida). The proposal, devised by the researcher Chira Rossi and the professor of the University of Lleida and researcher of the group Fisiopatologia Metabólica, Manel Portero, is part of the educational innovation program "Research, creation and service" of the Department of Education.
The students were divided into 7 working groups. Each of them has had a box to decorate and a research kit with the necessary material to carry out experiments. Each group has known different aspects of research on chemical and physical areas and techniques such as chromatography.
