First 'Cancer Day at IRBLleida' to raise awareness of the research carried out in Lleida
Organised by the Association Against Cancer in Lleida and the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida
Monday 23 May, World Melanoma Day, will be the first 'Cancer Day at IRBLleida', a day organised by the Association Against Cancer in Lleida and the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida) to publicise the research carried out in this field in Lleida. Throughout the day there will be presentations and visits to the facilities for members of the Association and relatives and patients of the University Hospital Arnau de Vilanova de Lleida (HUAV).
Attendees will learn about the Cancer Biomarkers Research Group (GReBiC), Molecular Oncology, Oncological Pathology and the Biobanc Scientific-Technical Service. The conference will also be attended by the director of the Scientific Foundation of the Association Against Cancer, Isabel Orbe Martínez-Avial, who will give a talk entitled "A constant and stable support in cancer research". There will also be a talk by the specialist in Medical Oncology at the HUAV and principal investigator of the GReBiC Group, Robert Montal Roura, entitled "New advances in precision oncology".
