The Activa't programme to improve the effects of treatment, quality of life and survival of people diagnosed with breast cancer has been restarted
The programme is supervised by a person with a degree in physical activity and sports science
In October, the Activa't programme will start again in Lleida, a proposal of exercises to improve the effects of treatments, quality of life and survival of people diagnosed with breast cancer. The initiative promotes autonomy, empowerment, improved mobility of the upper limbs, faster recovery after surgery and provides psychological support to those who benefit from it.
The programme, which is supervised by a person with a degree in physical activity and sports science, is promoted by the Primary Care Department of the Catalan Health Institute of the Lleida Area, the Functional Breast Unit of the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital of Lleida (HUAV) and the Department of Youth, Festivals and Sports of Lleida City Council, with the collaboration of the Lleida Biomedical Research Institute (IRBLleida). The initiative will take place twice a week, lasting one hour each day. This edition of the programme will end in May 2022.
