The medical ranking of world experts Expertscape has placed Dr. José Manuel Porcel, head of the Internal Medicine Department of the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital (HUAV), head researcher of the biomarkers in cancer research group (GReBiC) of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRBLleida) and professor at the University of Lleida (UdL), in third place in the world ranking of experts in pleura over the last ten years (2011-2021). The ranking, based on objective algorithms, considers Porcel the third world reference on pleura, the membrane that lines the walls of the thoracic cavity, lungs and diaphragm.
