Enginyers Lleida renews its collaboration with the IRBLleida
"This Covid-19 pandemic has shown us the importance of research"
The dean of Enginyers Lleida, Ramon Grau, has formalised this July, with the head of Promotion of the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida), Josep Maria Bosch, a new solidarity collaboration of 1,000 euros for the Lleida research centre. Dean Grau considers that "this Covid-19 pandemic has shown us the importance of research, and it is very important to collaborate with local entities so that this work can also be done in Lleida".
The Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida Dr. Pifarré Foundation (IRBLleida) is constituted with the aim of creating synergies between basic research, clinical research and epidemiological research, so that biomedical research is the engine for the improvement of daily clinical practice, for the benefit of the entire population. In other words, it achieves a chain of translational research, from basic research, aimed at understanding the physiological and pathological mechanisms of the human organism, to research that studies the behaviour of diseases in large population groups.
