Open science
IRBLleida and open science
IRBLleida makes the documents approved by the governing bodies, which set out the guidelines and regulations to be followed in various aspects of open science, available to research staff.
The term "open science" refers to a general concept that combines various movements and practices aimed at making scientific knowledge, methods, data and evidence freely available and accessible to everyone, increasing scientific collaboration and the exchange of information for the benefit of science and society. Open science involves a shift in how research is conceived and its results are disseminated.

Transformative agreements
Més informacióFor the first time, the CERCA Institution has participated in the negotiations led by CRUE and CSIC to renew these agreements with publishers. Starting in 2025, CERCA centres will benefit from the following agreements:
-
ACS and Elsevier: 4-year agreements (2025-2028) with unlimited APCs.
-
Springer: 3-year agreements (2025-2027) with 120 APCs per year.
-
Wiley: 4-year agreements (2025-2028) with 100 APCs per year.
To benefit, the person managing the publication must have a CERCA centre as their primary affiliation and be the corresponding author. Upon submission, the journal should automatically recognize the affiliation and offer the use of the agreement. CERCA will validate the APC allocation as long as credits are available. This service is available for selected hybrid journals from each publisher.
